Toes in the Water

I know. It's been a while. We have been a little under the weather and I was just to plain lazy to charge my camera battery so I could upload pictures.:) Several days ago we got some pretty good rain up here in the North Country. When it finally stopped raining I let the boys go out and play in it. Don't worry they have had their Tetanus shots.:) Grady wasn't to sure about it at first.

He warmed up quick.

Needless to say, it dried up really quick!
We are all trying to recover from being sick. I promise I will do better this week!

Sunray Alumni Game

I guess now we can shut the yearbook! Ha! Just kidding. Cody had his Alumni football game on Friday night and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed it!!! I thought it was kind of funny at first but it was great and raised money for both schools and I think the guys really did enjoy it too. I never got to watch Cody play football so it was exciting for me. He did sooo good too!!:) They did lose 22-14 but it was a great game.
Here we are before the game.

We had shirts made and they said "Sometimes it's not how old you are but how bad you want it". On the back of the boys shirts they said "Daddy" and on the back of mine it said "Satterfield".

Stud muffin before the game. Looks pretty good, huh?

Briggs got a Slip-n-slide for his birthday so we tried it out. It was soooo HOT!!!! I sat in the shade while these two played in the water. We were out there for 4 hours!!!!! They loved it!!! Needless to say we slept very good that night:).

Tonight is the Alumni football game for Sunray and Dumas. I am anxious to see how all these guys perform. I will have a post on that soon. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

"Mow"sy On Over!!!

Briggs' 3rd birthday was lawnmower themed. At first, when I asked him what kind of birthday he wanted he said lawnmower. I tried to persuade him to do something else but he was adiment about having a lawnmower party and I am SO glad he did. I had sooo much fun with it.

Of course I had to get him a lawnmower shirt:)
I had tons of ideas for the party starting with the invitations. Mow-sy on over. CLever, huh?
I then wanted to BUY a lawnmower pinata which do not exist and ended up making one. Turned out really cute, don't think I'll ever do that again.
He had a lawnmower cake and dirt cups to eat and Bug Juice for the drinks. We had a lawnmower race, lawnmower obstacle course and the lawnmower pinata. It was a great party and the kids had a lot of fun.

This is the drink holder, aka wheel barrel with bug juice.

The cake. My poor mom had to hold the handle up. It was just a bit too heavy to stand up. The wheels started falling off too because it was so HOT!!!

Getting ready for the Big RACE!!!
When I said GO everyone took off except for Briggs. He stood still.

This is the obstacle course. You had to go around the cones.

Then around the gas cans. (THis is my dad)
Through the tunnel.
And race back to the finish line.

After the course was done we blew out candles and ate cake and dirt cups.

The table turned out so cute!

BIG birthday boy blowing his candle out!

Opening gifts.

Grady eating his dirt cup. His shirt said "Daddy's future lawnmower"

The infamous pinata.

I worked HARD on the thing!!!

Taking a swing.

For the party favors I had little shovels and rakes wrapped and had a sticker on them that said "Grass"ias, Briggs.

This was such a fun party. I am so glad that we did it!
