Momma said there would be days like this

I had my 6 week checkup last Friday. It went great. That is about the only thing that went great. It all started after I loaded the kids up into the Tahoe, and those of you with kids know how easy it is to load everyone and everything in a car, anyways, I made sure I had everything from the stroller to the diaper bags and hopped into the driver's seat, turned the key and nothing. Yes nothing. Apparently somebody, that somebody being me, left Briggs' DVD player plugged in AND running. Who new? So I call my wonderful mother in law, who just lives down the street and we loaded into her car. We arrived in Amarillo safely and I went to my appt. while Leona a.k.a the best mother in law in the world, watched my children in the foyer. As I am sitting on the couch in the waiting room I hear Briggs screaming "I want my momma" and Grady screaming too. I pondered "Should I go out there or will it make things worse?". I remained inside. They hushed after only about 5 minutes. Poor Leona. My appt. went well, like I said before and then we went and had lunch at BAker's Brothers. We did a little shopping after we ate and Grady decided to poop all over his outfit. Not a big deal, I had another outfit in the bag. Oh wait the outfit was a THERMAL and it is 97 degrees outside! I then had to buy another outfit for Grady and change him in the car. After all of that we decide we need to go home. We are on our way home and Grady breaks down screaming in Dumas so we pull over and I get in the back seat with him to console him. He finally calms down and that is when Briggs pukes everywhere! Yes indeedy! It was lovely. I am crying, because I hate to see my kids sick, and Leona is fixing to cry and trying to drive at the same time. Briggs is white as a ghost and we finally make it home and decide that Briggs might have just gotten car sick because he wasn't use to that car. We all ended up getting sick over the weekend and Cody was home for a day and a half because of his illness. Although I thought we were all dying I think we are going to make it. ( I really didn't think that). I am glad to be somewhat back to normal. Phew!

Happy Earth Day!

We went to Story Time this morning and Briggs planted (or attempted to plant) flowers in front of the library all in celebration of Earth Day! He loves to get dirty so this was right up his alley. I want to know if anyone out there uses "Green" products. I have wanted to try them but I can't bring myself to pay the extra money to be "green". Does anyone buy organic clothing or diapers? I personally think that the prices are too high for me to start buying them. Let me know what produts you do use and if they are worth paying the extra money for. I guess I am probably a bad citizen of the Earth for not wanting to save the planet, I just don't know how good theses products are and how much they would benefit our planet. If anyone has any info on any "green" product let me in on the scoop! Thanks!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

This is the swing set we put up.

It was so pretty yesterday! We planted flowers and Cody and his parents finally got the swingset put up. I don't have any pictures because I need a new camera and I am getting really frustrated with mine! I will take all suggestions on good digital cameras. I want a camera that makes me look like I am good at taking pictures, because I am definitely not that, so please any suggestions will work. Have a great day!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!!! Briggs LOVED hunting Easter eggs and of course eating candy. (He didn't have THAT much). We went to Amarillo to my parents and then ended up at Cody's parents here in Sunray. We were all very tired and went to bed at 7:30!!!! Here are some pictures of the great day!

Trips, Target, Turkey & Terrible Two's

Where do I begin?!?!?!?!?

So..... The boys and I took our first trip to Amarillo by ourselves on Wednesday. The car ride was very smooth with no crying or fussing on the way up there. I was very pleased with this and I was excited to spend the day in Amarillo with my ever so obedient sons. HA!!!!!!

Target is where we begun our shopping day. First I might add that Briggs has never thrown a fit while we were out shopping, NEVER! He is so good and still to this day he has never thrown a fit. This leads me to my second child, oh my! So you think since they are brothers and have come from the same two people, same DNA, they would act the same, Right? WRONG!!!! As soon as we got all settled in the basket in Target Grady breaks down. I don't know if the target signs made him hungry or what? (They sort of resemble a breast). I had a huge list of things that I needed to do in Amarillo and we made it to Target and Target only. I was holding the screaming child in one hand and pulling the cart with the other. Multi-tasker! My arms were sore at the end of the day! I was very tired when we got home, but we made it throught it alive. We did also get to have lunch at Blue Sky with my dad and little sister. All in all in was a good day.

Do you like leftovers???? I really don't and neither does my husband, but I feel some sort of accomplishment when I use them, so I checked my freezer and we had some frozed turkey leftover from when I had Grady and I have decided to use it in a casserole for supper tonight. I am making Turkey Sopa, it is sort of a mexican dish. I will let you know how it turns out and post the recipe if it is good.

On to the Terrible Two's. Briggs is 20 months going on 16. He wants to do everything by himself but nothing by himself! He was in a mood yesterday and I thought I was going to have a nervouse breakdown. The kid requires a WHOLE LOT of sleep and if he doesn't get it you better watch out!! He was much better after his nap yesterday and has awaken a new little boy today! We colored Easter eggs yesterday and he really enjoyed that!

Hope everyone has a Blessed Easter!

2 weeks ALREADY!!!

Time flies! Grady had his 2 week check up on Monday and everything went great! He weighs 9lbs which is in the 75% for boys his age and he is 21 3/4in long which is in the 90%!!! He is very long!!! He is a great eater and is very calm. I think he has his mother's personality unlike his brother who DEFINITLEY has his father's!!!!! I had their pictures made yesterday and my good friend Tammy did them. Again, she did and AMAZING job!!! She has a few posted on her blog. Thanks Tammy!! http://www.tamarastiles.blogspot.com/. I feel like I am finally adjusting to having 2. I went to Walmart by myself yesterday and it actually went great! Hope everyone has a great April fool's day!

P.S. Jenn don't call me!!!! (She loves April Fool's Day, and loves to play jokes on poor gullible me!)

Trying to play with Grady's toy

Trying to figure out what Briggs is doing

This is Briggs when he was one week old, in the same outfit Grady has on in this picture. They also had the same exact blood blister on their wrists where they sucked in the womb! I think that is kind of cool!
