Street Fights and Fresh Veggies

Grady was in his first fight! Here was the result:

Street-1

Grady-0

Truth is, I thought I was going to have to go to the ER for IV Versed! I thought I was going to throw up and I don't get queezy very easy. It looked HORRIBLE right after it happened. It bubbled up (thank goodness) and he looked like a unicorn!

Here's the story. We were walking down the street from my in-laws and Briggs was riding his bike and I was pushing Grady in the umbrella stroller. I ALWAYS buckle him in except this ONE time!! I could shoot myself!!!! He leaned forward, and forward and forward until he landed right on his head on the street. I threw the stroller up on the grass and ran back inside to my in-laws house, screamed at Briggs to come in and ran to the bathroom with Grady screaming. I might have been crying too, but that is beside the point. After we got settled down a bit. Briggs proceeds to tell my in-laws that I pushed Grady out of the stroller, hand motions and all! The boy knows how to make you quit crying I guess! Grady was fine about 30 minutes after and was running around and eating, so we didn't worry too much about him having a head injury. I checked on him about 4 times last night and of course he was fine!

This pic of us is from the last day of swimming lessons. Briggs did so good the whole week.

These two baskets are some of the fresh vegetables we are getting out of our garden. Everything is so good!I just love all the colors!! We are enjoying having a garden so close!Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Busy Week!!!

Briggs started swimmim lessons this week! He loves Miss Desiree! He also loves Miss Julie. They are so sweet to him.

Jumping off of the diving board.

When swim lessons started on Monday Briggs was hesitant, as always, and didn't want to go with his class so he got "private" swim lessons. He is progressing everyday and today he jumped off of the diving board!

Grady wanted to go in. Poor little guy:(

Briggs with his class.

Can't ever have enough sunscreen.

We have had a busy week! Sunday I made a meal for a friend who just had a baby and we also went to Cody's football scrimmage.

I am also working on several other projects for Briggs' lawnmower themed birthday party. This is party of the lawnmower pinata that I am making. So far it is turning out really well.

For my friend that just had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl I made a Mexican Meatloaf, salad, and chocolate brownies.

The Mexican meatloaf is so easy to make and it is soooo good. I will post the recipe sometime.

I also made this cake for a friend at work. It is for a fiftieth birthday party. I don't like how the name turned out but all in all it was really cute.

Saturday Night Live

Last night Cody and I went to a wedding. It was such a beautiful outside wedding. The weather was perfect! Can you believe that? They gave away cow bells as wedding favors and all night my sister-in-law was saying " I'm gonna need a little more cow bell!" hence the title for this blog.

Here is the video from Saturday Night Live http://www.funnyhub.com/videos/pages/snl-more-cowbell.html

The boys stayed with Bum and Gramps a.k.a my in-laws.

Cody getting hydrated before the wedding. He wore a long sleeve shirt and jeans! WHoa!

Briggs on Bum's couch he was ready for popcorn. Apparently they watched Gramps mow the yard for an hour and a half.

After we dropped the boys off we picked up my brother-in-law and sister-in-law and they went to the wedding with us. She is 17 weeks pregnant.

Doesn't she have the cutest belly bump?!?!?!?! She finds out in 3 weeks what she is having and we are going to have a Gender Party at my house for them. I can't wait! I KNOW it's a girl!!!

We have got a busy week ahead of us. Briggs starts swim lessons tomorrow! I am kind of nervous but I know he will do great!

Bed Time Snack

This is what my almost 3 year old chose for his bed time snack. Yes it is a JALAPENO pepper! He eats every bit of them too!! He loves them! I think he might be like his Grandad Slick and not have any taste buds!
Do you see that bottle in the background? That is what Grady wanted for snack. It is steak sauce. Crazy kids!

The peppers are from the garden too:)

Day 3

Day 3 in OKC started out at IHOP. (No pics there too busy stuffing my face.) After breakfast we went to the Children's Science Museum. It was so good! They had a little play area for the smaller kids. Grady enjoyed all of the toys in that area.

There was a little fire house and Briggs loved sliding down the pole.

Of course he had to get on the tractor. I think he got on it about 8 times.:)

They had a GIANT tree house in there too. Briggs was at the top and I couldn't see inside to get a picture. I helped Grady up it and we had to come down on the slide TOGETHER. Bad idea! My bottom couldn't fit and it was so curvy (the slide that is) that I was stuck the whole time and two little girls came crashing into us! We finally made it down though.
Briggs on the flight simulator. Don't think I will be riding in his plane anytime soon!

Another airplane.

After the science museum we went to the Cowboy museum and Hall of fame. This guy, Marshall Cator is from Sunray so we had to get a pic of his plaque.
There was an old timey town set up and this was the jail. Wish I could have locked and thrown away the key!!! Just kidding.
There was a Kid's Corral and it was just for the little ones.

Grady was all about dressing up but Briggs didn't want too.
After our daily nap we went to the Cheesecake Factory to eat. MY FAVORITE!!!! I had a chicken and avocado sandwich, Cody had a steak, and the boys had macaroni. I guess Briggs was really excited about his macaroni. This is definitely a Senior pic:) Makes me laugh everytime. He kind of reminds me of Willy Wonka on the old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Ha!
After our meal we ordered........CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH CHEESECAKE! And yes it was just as good as it looks! (How do you alike the little fingers in the background?)
Grady LOVEd it!

He had it everywhere!!!

The next morning we woke up early and headed back to Sunray America:) We enjoyed our first family vacation! But we are glad to be home.
