Another One Bites the Dust

Here we are yet again. Another summer gone and a new school year to start. This time is a little different for us. We have not one, but TWO kids going to school!!! Hard for me to believe. You just never think your kids will be old enough to start school and then there they go!!! We've had a wonderful summer.

Went to the cellar a couple of times.
 VBS

Crue's 3 year old check up.
Briggs' lovely bug bite on his eye.
 Outside time.
 Friends
 Briggs' 7th birthday
 Sleeping in!!
 Getting school supplies.
So once again I am letting my children spread their wings to fly. As I send them to school a little piece of my heart goes with them knowing that I am not their sole provider during the day. Many, many thanks to ALL of the teachers and school employees who play a HUGE role in our children's lives. This momma takes her kids education very seriously. It's not just an education its a building block for the rest of their lives. So, Good luck to all kids starting school tomorrow and good luck to all of the teachers too!! Heres to a Great School year!!!

Summer and a little bit of Spring.

I'm behind. Like really behind. I haven't blogged about Grady's birthday and it's in March. So it's in this post too.
Crue turned 3 on June 7 and he had a shark themed party at the pool. We lucked out on the weather. Thank goodness!!
It was a great turn out:)

This is Crue and his cousin Griffin
Crue showing me he is 3. Nailed it.
                                                        Shark cupcakes

Goodie buckets
We had some family pics done by the incredibly talented Heidi Galloway.
Then Cody and I had are much anticipated trip to the Bahamas. After the flight cancellation fiasco we finally made it and had a great time.
 Beautiful turquoise water.
 Gorgeous resort.
Love my high wasted swim suit. It hides A LOT. Especially my well earned stretch marks:) (And a few love handles too)

So….. here is the March birthday boy.

He is so into dirt bikes (and tattoos) so he got a lot of Fox Racing gear.
 Sweet guy.

He had a Dirt bike themed party. (Shocker, I know) I really enjoyed getting things together for this one!!

Crue and I at his party.

Briggs went to basketball camp at Frank Phillips College and he really enjoyed it. The kid loves to play basketball and is pretty much shooting baskets from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed.
I am so sorry that all these pics are not in order!!! These are just more pics of our resort. We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian and I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Summer is flying by!!!! We are trying to soak up all of the outside time we can. Hope y'all are having a wonderful summer as well!!!

My Memory Book

I do this blog for memories. So that we may look back at all the craziness and fun that we have had. Basically a memory album that I don't have to store in the house and let it gather dust:) I am not a good writer and my punctuation is awful!! I rarely have time to blog because I am too busy making memories
I just want to share with everyone all of the excitement that goes into having a house full of boys!!
So here is to my Memory Book:)

Crue has started wearing this John Deere hat. He is so cute in it. He really should be raised on a farm. No fences, no boundaries. Really he NEEDS to be on a farm. Caged with animals, possibly:) Just kidding.

Briggs is just getting older. Sniff, sniff. He's developing friendships, is very independent and LOVES basketball. He shoots the ball ALL day. No lie.
Cute kid. Wanted to be The Lorax for Dr. Seuss day at school. Great Pinterest pin. $8. 10 minutes. There ya go.
This is another Pinterest plan. Rain Gutter bookshelves. They turned out great!!! Very pleased:)
 PTO Basketball team.
Sweet Grady on his 5th birthday. LOVES tattoos. He is the most kind hearted little boy but he can snap in .2 seconds and have you in a choke hold/leg lock. He is SO strong and we joke about him being an MMA fighter. (Over this momma's dead body.) Maybe he needs Yoga or something.
My sister and I on my birthday party. Love her.
Grady had to get 2 cavities filled. He did wonderful. He's 5 and has had 2 cavities. I'm 30 and I have had 1. This is not looking good:)
Grady got to go to fire station with his school.
He loved this little field trip.
It is so crazy, busy around the Satterfield house. We love it. Always something going on. I don't know what we would do if we had nothing to do!!!
We are all so excited for Summer and Hot weather!!

Flashback

It's true. I'm about to be out of my twenties.-Sigh. A little over a month and I will be the BIG 3-0!!! Wow!! I always thought 30 was old. Gee was I wrong. Way wrong! I still feel like I am 18. Ok, so maybe not 18 but I still feel really young!! I seriously can't believe it has been almost 12 years since I graduated High School!! I tell people I graduated in '02 because in my mind it feels like the year 2005 and 2002 doesn't seem that far away. I always wonder why they look at me like "Whoa, she's ancient!" Yes, I realize it's been 12 years. -Another sigh.
Truth be told, and only between you an me, I'm a little excited about being 30. Just a little.:) I have a husband of 8 1/2 years, whom I am planning a trip to Jamaica with this Summer, 3 beautiful boys, my health and the list goes on and on.
Cody turns 30 also a month after me. (Call me a cougar if you will:) Ha! JOKE. A month doesn't count. I know. But I will be 30 married to a twenty something?!?!?!?!? Does that count? Anyways, Cody and I are planning a 30th Birthday party for the both of us and we are doing a 90's theme!! I am so excited!! It brings back such good memories planning this party. Here were some of my favorite 90's things.
Flashback with me to the 90's!!!!

NKOTB-Need I say more?????? I had the Joey doll.

And of course Saved By the Bell. Kelly Kapowski was my all time favorite.
Troll dolls. How could anyone ever like these ugly things????? Apparentlly I did because I had a jillion of these things.
I could sit here forever and post stuff I liked in the 90's. It was a fun time. I had a wonderful childhood. Can't wait to party it up 90's style in the twothousandfourteens:)
