We like to party

We had a busy weekend! Friday night we had a gender party for my sis in law. It was so much fun!!! Her husband Alex cooked for us and we had a scavenger hunt and just enjoyed the evening. We had been looking forward to this night for a LONG time!!!

Everything was pink and blue, and the balloons were tied to pickle jars.

The way we found out was by creme filled cupcakes. They were either going to have blue or pink creme in them. This is Kyla and Alex trying to pass out cupcakes, everyone was coming after them:)Ha!THE cupcake!It's a BOY!!!!!
I was sooo wrong!!! Owen Beck Purl is due December 24th!!! I can't wait to meet my new nephew!!!! Congrats Again, Alex and Kyla!!!

The pictures are a little out of order but I will explain. Thursday, I made 2 cakes, I made a shark cake for my friend Tammy's little boy and we made Briggs' lawnmower cake. (I have better pics of the lawnmower cake but I will post those tomorrow).

Briggs' actual birthday was Aug 3rd so we let him open his gifts from us of course. He got a weedeater and a blower, and he absolutely loved them!!!

For Briggs' birthday lunch we had a picnic outside with lunchables and cheetos:)

After their naps we went swimming. Briggs had a wonderful 3rd birthday! The birthday post coming tomorrow!!!!

36 months

Sounds better then 3, huh? I can't believe my baby boy is 3 years old!!!! He is so big! It seems like yesterday I was pregnant with the little guy and now he is such a sweet little boy.

I wonder......???

I think a lot. Maybe too much sometimes. I have always been a very literal person. For instance, if you tell me you are neigbors with someone, you better live RIGHT next to them, not one house over, across the street, or around about, I'm talking right smack dab next to them, otherwise you just live on the same street.

Now don't get me wrong, I never correct anyone I just don't understand it' that's all. Here are some other things I don't understand:

The University of North Texas is in Dallas.

Shouldn't it be in Amarillo?

West Texas A&M is in Canyon.

Shouldn't it be in El Paso?

Why do they call Amarillo West Texas?

That also should be the El Paso area.

These are just some of the things I just don't understand. I guess they aren't for me to understand.

Nifty at Sixty!

My Dad turned 60 years old today!!! Whoa! He doesn't look it does he? We had a party for him Friday night at their house and it was a lot of fun. I still can't believe he is 60! Happy Birthday Daddy, Papa!He loves the Dallas Cowboys so that was sort of the theme for the party. This is the cake I made. Instead of 10 yard lines I did 60 yard lines:)This is my lovely mother. My cousin Penny (the one to the right of my dad) led us in Happy Birthday and my dad was conducting it all!

Grady had a great time! He LOVES his Papa!

A cane from his older sister that he gave her when she turned 50. She wrote on it and gave him a pack of candy tied on it.

We had great food (if you can't tell by Cori's face:)) and we played games and just enjoyed the evening.

Sorry Cori. I couldn't resist!! This is stinkin' hilarious if I do say so myself!!!! I think she might have a tapeworm the way she eats!! She is sooo skinny too!!!!

We have another busy week this week! Briggs turns 3 on Tuesday, Kyla and Alex find out what they are having Friday and we are throwing them a gender party, and Briggs' party is Saturday! Yeah for busy weeks and parties!!!
