Friday Funday

We had a Fun Filled Friday! We started off going to the grocery store (Always fun) and then we came home took naps and played in our little bity pool. We were going to go to the community pool but it was Free day and we figured the WHOLE town would be there and I could just pictures my kids having a screaming fit in front of everyone so we opted just to stay home and have "pool time" as Briggs calls it, at our house.
We had a graduation party to go to for Cody's cousin Lacy that night so we headed out there at about 6. They live out in the country and have lots of room and lots of animals. They are bottle feeding two calves and Briggs got to feed one of them. He got slobber all over his foot and was pretty worried about it. Grady pretty much just chilled and he loved looking at the animals, I swear that kid is going to be a vet someday! He LOVES animals. He even got on the horse! Briggs and Grady were playing a fun game with the plastic cup and they were just giggling so hard. I love hearing my kids laugh! It brings so much joy to my heart!!!Briggs also got to play the drums. He loves any kid of musical instrument! Maybe I will have a vet and a musician someday! Ha!My mother-in-law made Lacy's graduation cake. Isn't it precious?!?!?!? Lacy loved to play dress up when she was a little girl so Leona did a dress up cake. This is by far one of my favorites.

We are headed to a fish fry later today but have no plans for tomorrow on Memorial Day!

I want to say a BIG CONGRATS!!! to my sister Cori for getting her Bachelor's degree and for passing her PPR for her teaching certificate! Way to go!!!

Sunny Days

I am lovin' the Spring time weather. We play outside most of the day. We go to the park at least once a week. It is a really nice park and the boys LOVE it. It is right next to our wonderful swimming pool which is extremely nice itself. Who would have thought such a small town would have such a nice pool? Anyways, Briggs says that he isn't going to cry when I take him to the pool which has been the case the past couple of years.

We had a Spring Fling this past weekend and about 60 people showed up! Cody smoked briskets, cooked steaks, sausage, and ribs, and we had potatoe salad and beans. It was a great meal and a great time with family and friends. The weather turned out beautiful! Briggs and Grady loved playing washers and "Yance" helped Briggs play with the big boys:)

When the boys aren't outside soakin' up the sun they pretty much are bored and start getting goofy and getting into things they shouldn't be into to. Hence the pictures below.

Sorry I am slacking on the blogging. I have been told by Papa that I have not updated very well. I will try harder Papa!

The Last Few Days

The last few days have been beautiful! Saturday we went to a birthday party for Grady's future wife, Raylee. It was a "cow" theme and I made the cake! It turned out really cute.Not a very good picture of the birthday girl

After the party my parents, my sister and my niece Elizabeth came to town so we had a cookout.
Monday I gave the boys a popcicle, Grady's first one, and Oh my Goodness! did he like it!

Gardening 101

Our Organic Garden is planted!!! I won't lie, it was a little bit more work then what I thought. I am sore. Already. We started at 9:00 this morning making rows and mounds and we finished watering the newly planted seeds at about 2:00. The WE is Briggs, Cody's grandpa Bob, and I. Grady ate a lot of dirt.:) We had it dug out on Sunday by "A Guy" as Briggs calls him, and we made the rows this morning. We planted yellow and zucchini squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, green beans, black eye peas, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, radishes, and turnips. Spring Time Makes me Happy:)

I love Spring!!! The weather has been gorgeous, minus the wind, and we have enjoyed playing outside. We have gotten a lot of rain and the flowers are starting to bloom and it is gorgeous! My family and I are going to plant an organic garden with lots of vegetables. I LOVE fresh veggies and so do the boys, so I am really excited to get this going. My Dad always has a HUGE garden every year and his turns out so good, I only hope ours is half of what his is.

I got released from the cardiologist and he said that I no longer need a cardiologist and that I am cured! AMEN!!!

We had a garage sale Friday and yesterday and it went pretty well. We had TONS of stuff to get rid of and I think we accomplished that.

Easter 2010

Was Easter not FABULOUS this year!?!?!?!? Of course it is EVERY year because of the meaning, but the weather was beautiful and it just made for a great day! Briggs found lots of eggs and Grady really wasn't into it that much. We had a wonderful lunch and I thought I was going to explode after eating! We were so tired last night we all crashed before the sun went down! It was a great weekend. Thanks Jesus for washing all of our sins away!
