Briggs' Big Break

As most of you might know from my Facebook Briggs got in a little fight with the trampoline and needless to say the trampoline won. :) 

Sunday evening we were over at my in-laws house having our weekly meal and Briggs was playing on the trampoline and decided he would jump off the trampoline and try to grab a tree branch and landed on his arm. I witnessed the whole thing. As soon as I saw his wrist I almost vomited. We rushed him to the ER in Dumas(which by the way was FANTASTIC!!!) We got right in and the x-rays confirmed he had broken both of his bones in his wrist and they would need to be put back in place. So, they splinted him and sent us to Amarillo. 

We stayed at BSA until 11:30p.m. after we saw the orthopedic doctor which confirmed that he would need surgery and possibly a pin. We went to see him on Monday and we set up the time for surgery.

This is after the "good medicine". He was hysterical and I'm pretty sure he could have climbed a mountain! Ha!

The surgery didn't take very long and he did great. He was so brave and I am so proud of him.

We are home and relaxing and Briggs is resting comfortably. We will go back in 2 weeks to get a hard cast that he will wear for 3-4weeks and then he will get another cast that he will wear for 3-4 more weeks. This is going to be tough for a very active 4 year old!!!!!
Thank you all SO much for the thoughts and prayers. They were all deeply appreciated:) Now continue to pray that these next 6 to 8 weeks go by fast. If not I may lose my sanity!Ha!

July 4th

Happy 4th!!!! (2 days later):) I had to work on Independence day but I still go to enjoy the 4th festivities!!! I love this pic of my boys:) So silly.

 We had a wonderful meal of hamburgers, pasta, ribs, sausage. If you can grill it, we ate it:)

Then we popped some fireworks. Grady stuck to the poppers.

 Briggs was a little more daring and kind of helped with some smoke bombs.

I had to go home early because the Crue man wasn't having any part of the fireworks display:)
Briggs stayed and helped pop firecrackers and he had a great time:)

Face Lift

Did ya notice? My blog got a little "Face lift"!!! I love it!!! It needed to be updated soooo bad!!! Finally got all three of my boys on there. I changed my header title because there were no longer 3 guys in my life. There are 4 and Four guys and a gal really just didn't sound very good. My Three Sons sounds great!!!! I got it from an old television show. I think it has a nice ring to it!! Hope everyone is having a nice Monday!!!

I just got back from OKC with the hubs. We went by OURSELVES!!! It was fun but I sure felt naked without my kids being there:) Anyway have a great day. More to come on our trip, so stay tuned:)

Sick............again

Today didn't go how I had planned. AT ALL. I was supposed to be at work. My kids were supposed to be at Bum's. (AKA my MIL) While I was getting ready for work at 5 a.m. Grady comes into the bathroom with that "someone please help me because I'm fixing to puke"look, so I gladly pushed assisted him to the toilet and that my friends is how my day started. Poor little guy was running a fever and he is the toughest kid when he is sick. I can't stand it when my kids are sick. Breaks my ever lovin' heart.
Anyways, I got him into the doctor and got some good ole antibiotics down him and he is doing much better. Pretty sure he is going to have to have his tonsils out.
On a lighter note, I found my childhood best friend on FB!!! I am super excited about this. I'm also super excited about the photography class at my house tomorrow! Yay! Maybe I will learn how to use my camera:)

Just A Swingin'

It seems as though we have our mornings and afternoons mixed up these days. We go outside at about 8:00a.m. and stay inside in the afternoon! It has been stink in' hot here so that is our plan for not melting in the heat.

Itty Bitty Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Long are the days of my polka dot bikini. Ever since I've had children they just aren't appropriate for me:) I am having trouble this year finding something I like. I love the colors in this one but I need something to cover my stretch marks stomach. So this one is out of the picture.

This one is really cute and I love the top I would just have to get some matching boy shorts to go with it. And maybe I can buy some cleavage too! Ha!

I really like all of these. I think any of these would fit my body without making me look like a grandma.

Anyone out there have a one piece? I really want to try one but I don't know if it would fit my body either. This one is way cute, but I might have to get it in a different color.

What about you? What style are you sporting this summer?

Tornado????

We had quite the storm last night here in Sunray!! Gees Louise!!!! I heard it start hailing about 11:00p.m.. (I think anyways) and then it started raining and the wind was horrible!!! The electricity of course went out so I never knew what time it was. Cody looked at the radar on his phone and we weren't under a tornado warning nor were the sirens going off.

Then we woke up to this!!!! I drove around town and captured some snap shots on my phone of some of the damage. Streets were blocked off due to down power lines, limbs were everywhere.

This house was blown OVER!!!!

This really breaks my heart. One of the church's here had started new construction and it was completely demolished!!!!!

This tree just snapped at the City building.

Nearly all of the businesses on the west side of main street had no windows!

I am so glad that no one was hurt!!!
