Southern Draw

We aren't hillbillies, we just sound like them. You never know that you have an accent until you go out of state. My sister lives in Colorado, not very far from here, and they were all laughing at the way we talk! When Cody was a little boy he had a huge Texas accent with a very long drawww at the end of his sentence. Well, guess who inherited that? Mr. Briggs. Here is a video of him eating ice cream and I am asking him if he needs help.

Ya'll have a good'n:)

Good Times

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was such a beautiful day and I overate waaaaay too much. We started the feast at Cody's grandparent's for lunch and then made our trek to A-town for supper. All of the food was fantastic and by the end of the night I thought I was going to explode.

Seriously look at my plate!
Grady's Thanksgiving meal

Briggs played outside with his cousins and then we decorated gingerbread houses. We started this last year and hopefull we will keep this tradition up. He did a really good job even though he ate a lot of the candy:)

See Saw

Saturday morning I decided I was going to work off all of the turkey I ate, so I got up and went to spinning class. OH-MY-GOSH!!!! I felt like I was in high school track again! It felt so good to work out and I had so much energy the rest of the day.

After that the we went to my in-laws so the boys could decorate "the grandchildren tree" at their house. They get to pick the spot and put whatever they want on it. Briggs was overloading the tree and Grady was eating the ornaments so Bum (that is what Briggs calls my MOL) and I had to help just a little.

For supper Cody made some fabulous fajitas outside on his new wok grill and they were sooo good! Briggs rode his four wheeler and Grady watched him while Cody was cooking. I can't believe how beautiful it has been here. I have shorts on in November!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and are so ready for Christmas!!!

Thankful

I am so so thankful for everything I have. How did I deserve these two perfect little boys?

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7

Thank you Jesus for your mercy and love:)

Hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

24

I am posting this one day early because I have to work tomorrow and will not have the time:)

Today is my baby sister's 24th birthday!!!! I can't believe she is 24! We are only 20 months apart and it just seems so funny that I am 25 and she is 24 even if it is only for a few months. She is my best friend and she is the coolest and funniest girl I know. Seriously. I love being around her, she has a presence about her and she puts off a very good energy, (I just sounded like a psychic). She is an amazing Aunt to my kids and she helps me whenever I need it. I am so proud of her and the things she has accomplished.

My Dear Cori,

I hope you have a Happy Happy Day because you deserve nothing but the best. I know sometimes you get the bad hand delt to you but you don't dwell on it you just dust yourself off and keep going. You don't ever hesitate to keep the boys or run and errand for me or let me borrow your clothes even thought I sometimes (okay most of the time) don't do the same for you. I can't believe you are getting married either. You are going to be an amazing wife and mother! Thank you SO much for ALL that you do for me and my little family. I am honored and excited to be your matron of honor. You mean so much too us and we hope that your 24th year brings you much joy. So, Have a Happy Birthday!

Love ya tons,

Merry Merry Everything!

Normally I would put up my Christmas tree after Thanksgiving but not this year. I am a few days early. I am on top of my Christmas game this year. I have all of my gifts bought (except a few) and wrapped, my Christmas cards in, and all of my Christmas decorations out! I am so proud of myself. I will probably be ready for all of it to come down by the time Chrismas gets here, but I figure if you go through all this hard work to get everything up you might as well leave it up for a while:) Hope everyone is in the Christmas spirit as much as me!

Home Sweet Home

We are finally home. Phew! It was nice to stay with my parents but the little ones get a little cranky the longer we stay away from home. We did have a great time and my parents enjoyed the boys being there.

Besides going to Sesame Street Live, Briggs went to gymnastics one day and then we went to Brush with Art. I love Brush with Art and so does Briggs. Briggs and Grady made a cookie plate for Santa and Briggs also made a little something for his daddy:) They turned out really cute. I will post pictures as soon as we get them back.
Saturday I worked and it was a great day. Steady but not swarming. Sunday I went to see the highly anticipated New Moon and it did not let me down one bit!!!! I LOVED IT and can not wait to see the next one.

Needless to say it was a very good week but we are so glad to be home. Oh yeah, Cody had fun on his hunting trip and he made it home ok also:) He didn't shoot anything (Thank goodness).

P.S. Doesn't my blog look Good!!! Designer blogs did it and they did a great job!!

La La La La Elmo's World

Briggs and I went to Sesame Street Live! yesterday! He loved it! I really enjoyed it too. It was a really good show. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to sit for 1 1/2 hours but he did GREAT! He was clapping and dancing toward the end of the show.

We are staying with my parents for the rest of the week because Cody is on a hunting trip in Oklahoma. We have some fun things planned:) Also, New Moon comes out today!!! I am way excited and it is pretty sad that a 25 year old woman is that obsessed with a movie! I am tempted to go see it tonight at midnight but I know my body will not appreciate the lack of sleep I will have since my kids start getting up at 5:00a.m. We are having a girls day out on Sunday and a bunch of friends are going to watch it.:)

The Great White Hunter Part II

If I have forgotten to mention that it is hunting season, pardon me, IT"S HERE! This means that I am pretty much a single lady. Yes, He is that obsessed. I wish I could be that passionate about a hobby.
Whitetail deer began last Saturday and Cody got a deer today! I get excited for him because he gets so excited. I really don't know what the big deal is?!? Do you? I guess it is the Indian in him? Anyways Briggs loves it too. We don't teach him about it he just sees and hears what Cody says about hunting. When Cody brought the deer home today (gutted and all-He guts them but can not change a dirty diaper! I don't get it!) I took Briggs out there to see it and the first thing he said was POW! and of course he had to come in and get his shotgun (pretend one) so that he could shoot it. If you ask who shot the deer he says "I did!"

Cody is itching like a hound for me to get these pics up of his precious deer so whithout further adew I present Bucky ( I think it is only fair to name them):

Shutterbug

I finally got a new camera! Well, I don't have it right now but I ordered it and I am picking it up tomorrow! I am so excited! I bought the Nikon Coolppix 12.1. I have researched a lot of cameras and this one seems like it will be great for my "on the go children".

I am going Christmas shopping tomorrow as well and I am super pumped about that. I LOVE to shop! I am a bargain hunter and can only bargain shop if my wonderful husband (whom I am REALLY missing) is not with me. The boys are going to stay with their grandparents while I get my shopping done. This brings me to another point. I am SO thanful for my children's grandparents! They help out sooooo much and I am so glad that they are SO involved in their grandchildren's lives. My boys Great-Grandparents are also so involved. I am so lucky that they are all healthy and are full of life.

Hopefully the next blog will have some very clear pictures from my new camera!

Boxer Briggs and the Not so Itsy Bitsy Spider

Halloween was fun this year. We actually walked up and down the street and of course went to family's houses. My mom came up and got to enjoy the day with us. The boys had on their skeleton shirts for the day and then at night they got into their costumes. Grady did not care too much for his hat so half way through we had to take it off.

November has gotten off to a great start weather wise. It was BEAUTIFUL outside today! I am not adjusting to the time change and neither are the boys but it is still just the first day.

Today at church it was "All Saints Day". We remebered all of the people who have gone to be with Jesus. This was a pretty emotional day for me because my Aunt Joey passed away in June. I don't talk about it much because she was and still is so so so special to me, to EVERYONE, and it is still very hard to talk about. For remembrance of all of the loved ones they had their names on a slide show and lit a candle and rang a bell. I thought it was very neat and it was very special to me. She truly was a Saint! I love her so much and she is dearly missed ;)

Hope everyone has a great November day!
